Pros

Inside Sales is a great entry point to the Ag world. Very hands on team when it comes to learning about new aspects of focus. I have yet to come across a question that has been left unanswered. Great insurance, free lunch and compensation for a gym membership are all pluses too.

Cons

Very fast paced with little training. You absolutely have to be interested in keeping up and thrive on asking questions about an ever changing company.

Thanks for your feedback! Glad to hear you are getting all of your questions answered. I appreciate your feedback on training and it's an area we're focused on. We've recently implemented new hire training across the company with more extensive training for our sales team. In addition we have built a really strong library of e-learning content - hopefully with these updates we will start to address the need for training. Thanks again for your feedback!

Pros

I've been at the company for a bit now and any real pros are difficult to come up with. They serve lunch 3 times a week, have snacks. But all the stuff like its treatment of employees and general direction the leadership is taking this company is disappointing

Cons

- Poor Leadership: Company CEO can not lead the company to an IPO. - Direction of company is all over the place. Company and leadership as a whole needs to be more focused and productive: so many issues within the company - most people don't know whats going on. - Compensation: Indigo HR tries to craft their way to justify putting its most productive people at a lower compensation. If you want the best talent to stay pay them. Poor compensation. - HR like to exemplify an open culture but uses it as an excuse and shield themselves from criticism. It's very obvious to Indigo employees that HR is week and a talk a lot of nonsense.

Hi – first of all, I’m sorry to hear that your experience at Indigo has not been positive. This is disappointing for me to hear, but helpful feedback. I personally hate to hear that you think the People team is “talking nonsense” – and I would be happy to meet on this directly with you. It’s correct that I try hard to spend time in front of the company on a regular basis to talk about what we’re hearing from employees through regular pulse surveys and I talk a lot about being open and transparent….this because we want to promote feedback, positive and negative, as it gives us insights we might not otherwise get. On compensation, we benchmark this annually using external market data, and every employee receives equity upon hiring and annually as well as a bonus, based on performance. If you have concerns about low compensation, we on the People team would be happy to discuss. You mention an IPO; our mission as a company is to help farmers feed the planet in a sustainable way. We think by doing that we will also create a big and successful company, but if the most important criteria in being at the company is a future IPO, it is probably not the right fit. Thank you again for your comments and taking the time to write into Glassdoor.

Pros

I originally joined Indigo as a Co-op from Northeastern and luckily got the chance to join full time after I graduated. I learned immensely from my team as an intern and was thrilled to get the opportunity to join as an Associate Recruiter. Indigo is a special place with brilliant people all behind the same inspiring mission. In my time here I've developed great connections and lasting friendships with the people I work with. Every day I'm excited to go to work since no day is the same here. The fast-paced environment is motivating and energizing. I'm looking forward to watching the company grow and to be a part of it!

Cons

I'd say the only downsides are some start-up pains, but they come with the territory. Overall, I have nothing negative to say! It's an incredible place to work.
