Pros

The base pay for account managers was industry but commission was very unstable.

Cons

Bonus is very iffy. Horrible management on the agency account management side. Terrible products to sell and not very many at that. If you are remote good luck on learning anything and you will be pressured to sell what cannot be sold. The new Google for Jobs will eventually kill them off. Too many more to quote.

Pros

- great teammates - line managers are usually great - benefits: unlimited PTO, 6 months parental leave, great insurance - history of openness means that long time employees are not shy about calling out bad decisions

Cons

- reorgs happen at least once per year leaving teams without direction for literal months - SLT is not held accountable for mistakes - claims to be a tech company but hasn't had a CTO in over a year without looking - controversial changes are announced at the last minute and usually half baked (ex: review process changes the week of reviews) - SLT frequently denies reality despite written evidence (ex: there is stack ranking but leaders repeatedly deny when confronted in all hands) - still too much middle management even after layoffs, many have no idea about reality "on the ground" and it really shows at the VP+ levels - slowly rolling back benefits

Pros

- Excellent work/life balance - Excellent benefits (insurance, 401k, etc) - Unlimited PTO - Fun in-office environment - Free lunch and snacks daily - Inclusive and friendly workforce

Cons

- Sales department has been rapidly crumbling after layoffs - Quota attainment is almost 100% luck based due to reduced book sizes, limited product offerings, and no option for reps to onboard new business in the growth sector. - It is now a regular occurrence for reps who historically performed well to be on development plans, performance plans, or terminated. - Base compensation is well below market average. - Sloppy rollouts of new products and strategy changes. - Lack of transparency from SLT on future direction. - Issues being ignored or shrugged off when brought up to senior management or in Q&As - Very limited opportunity for career advancement.
