Pros

Great work-life balance. The poorly planned pipeline of work allows you to be flexible with time

Cons

* Lack of clear data-driven decision-making for projects and design choices. * Microservices architecture is poorly designed, leading to inefficiencies and a distributed monolith. * Coding standards are inconsistent, making long-term maintainability a challenge. * Leadership struggles with project planning and people management, often applying the same limited solutions to every problem. * The software product is significantly behind industry standards in terms of UX, UI, and overall user experience. * Numerous unresolved performance and security issues, with a reactive rather than proactive approach to fixing them. * Lack of career progression

Thank you for sharing your experience, it's disappointing to hear, but we welcome all feedback as it allows us to reflect and make improvements where necessary. Our industry as a whole is undergoing changes, and as a result this can lead to new ways of working as we flex and adapt. We believe in, and adhere by, fair reward principles including pay, commission and overall benefits and regularly review these to ensure they are competitive within the market and for our colleagues.

Pros

You’ll meet nice people with the odd nasty stakeholder. They’re very flexible on hybrid working model. My team was great.

Cons

List can be long but I’ll keep to main points. Huge lack of resources and technology. The company is inconsistent and missing lots of basics in terms of platforms, tech, benefits and so on. As a result of missing that, a lot of people can’t use the new tools and therefore means it takes lot to automate processes. Lots of contractors which isn’t a sustainable people/ business growth model. Don’t think some of the exec team have the expertise and knowledge to take inchcape to the next level. Recent results of employment engagement survey shows they’re amazing but also reflect a lack of transparency and reluctance to change. This translates surely in most feedback: answers not honest either and there everything too perfect to evolve. With respects to change, a lot of their big projects lack that angle. Lots of colleague think they change will be done for them when they will need to play a substitantial role. Politics: some senior stakeholders are nasty, will look down on you and stab you on the back. This is mainly in the CoEs.
