Pros

Strong core values that if followed in the right way would stop messages like these mentioned on here. I have been with the company 10 years and would personally challenge the views above. Inchcape as a company welcome employee feedback openly , not only this , they listen review and respond. Because of this 3 years in a row they have been voted top 25 companies to work for. Most recent position 8th. All businesses have challenges and it is how we deal with these which will map our future.

Cons

I do not doubt for a second that some of the information above noted by other employees or ex employees is valid. The only issue here is these have festered and not been overcome for one reason or another. This impacts the customers and the business and everybody loses out.

Pros

The money looks attractive. You have an Audi demo and you pay only the miles not the fuel. Between 13p-24p depending on the car.

Cons

The Cons are i was told I would get a gaurentee bonus for three months when i started Which i did't get a penny. You get fined £150 per customer if they score you less than 8 even if they don't buy a car and you have just been dealing with them in the showroom, they will get a call from head office ask they how they was dealt with and then they ask them what you score the service you recieved out of 1-10. If the customer gives you an 8 you get £75. Now this seems good if you please your customers but the end of the day your working in Macclesfield and they the customers round there want everything for not a lot of money because they are all snobs. If you don't sell enough cars in your first couple of months and you don't get your 100% commision and then get 3 scores of say 7 you could be working for less than minimum wage after they deduct your car and then your tax and national insurnace. The manager who currently works there sounds great gives all the right impressions but all he wants is his money he couldn't care less if he starts you and then gets rid of you after you sold a few cars so he doesn't have to pay the commission. I am one of about 6 people who he has let me go in the probation period. I can asure you I am a very good sales executive so it doesn't matter how good you are they will most probably get rid in less than 3 months.

Pros

Staff discount for parts & service. They pay you as little as possible and when sales are good they cut the bonus scheme by raising your monthly targets

Cons

Low staff morale high staff turnover in vehicle sales department both at ground level and sales manager level.
