Pros

Inchcape aquired BMW & Kia business in 2017 summer, renovated Jaguar, Land Rover and Mazda showrooms in 2017. Products are great!

Cons

Over few year the company has become very regulated and theres manual for everything - not much room for creativity. Training budget is only set for dealer required trainings to technical employees (in some brand it's even overwhelming schedule) not to other teams. They are saying that business needs to be more creative and innovative, but there's no tools to make it happen. General energy and wish to make something happen has reduced significantly.

Pros

The prospect of pay was good and far better than what I was on. This was down to the management team in the dealership.

Cons

Inchcape believe that they need to fix things when they aren’t broken in certain dealerships. They do not even want to listen to the views of their employees.

Pros

The fringe package is very good, pension, discount goods, staff purchase scheme etc. Certainly looks like a caring employer on paper!

Cons

In the press recently the new ceo James brearley, has excitedly told the world that he has raised the sales execs basics from 15 to 22k. Marvellous news! Not so marvellous is that if you acheive target or exceed my commission has been massively cut. Broadly taking into account the larger basic I’ve effectively been given a £20k pay cut. It would happen in other world. Yet the company still gets into great companies to work for leagues. Reason for this? They present to the share holders that it’s all great, the employee surveys are driven by most employees filling them out in a positive fashion due to fear of repercussions if they don’t. Mr. Brearley seems like a wholesome fellow. By all accounts he owes Stratstone a bundle due to a lost law suit. Wreaks of arrogance. Odious, toxic company.
