Everyone works long hours, so if you are looking to advance thru hard work it will not be noticed, it is the norm.

Nice office/building, friendly staff, nice location, some movies sometimes (less often now)

Cons

People come and go way too often, it shows that there is a low sense of loyalty and commitment to the company. A lot of people complain about their jobs regularly- it's like no one's happy to be there. We don't see movies anymore, we don't have social events. It's getting more stressful and people aren't motivated. Working hard is not rewarded- supervisors are more concerned with following the rules and getting approval from higher-ups! Where's the fun spirit? Where's the excitement for movies?

People who work in the film industry are, for the most part, very passionate about what they do.

Cons

The Operations team that I'm on is very dysfunctional. If you are not best friends with the Director, you may as well forget it and be prepared to be laid off. Also, there is a ridiculous amount of email, so be prepared to spend all of your time just sifting through your Outlook inbox.
