Pros

3 weeks off per year for first year. They're willing to pay good wages to new employees. Liberal time off policy. There's a lot of activities to do in the Reno area.

Cons

Management is broken. Technical ladder was non existent so the best way for employees to move up was to move into management. The people in management do not have the skills necessary to effectively motivate and direct their employees. The problem now is that even if some of management leave or are let go, they will likely hire like minded people to replace the outgoing personel. The 401k is sad (down to a yearly $750 match). Bonuses are large if you are in management but lower employees get a pittance. The company likes to hire outside people and pay them more than existing employees doing the same job. Current CEO only knows how to cut, not how to build.

Pros

Money is decent, though below industry averages; If you can become 'favored', you don't need to be competent;

Cons

Don't expect to hear about anything you did right, but if you walk down the hallway the wrong way, it'll be on your review. Market share is disappearing; competition is much better than it was and actually has competent sales, development and executive management. If internet gaming isn't legalized in the next 3 years, the way IGT is ignoring it's core markets, they will be a 15% market share company - video poker and some classic stepper product.

Pros

Good health benefits. Employees that want to grow the company. South Reno is a very nice community. Lots of local outdoor activities.

Cons

New executive management with little to no experience or understanding of the gaming industry. Incompetent and vindictive middle management. Incompetent and vindictive Human Resources. "Suck up, Move up" policy for career advancement. Quarterly lay offs. Very low employee morale. Middle management policy of elimination of innovative employees. Management policy of transferring of engineering and manufacturing jobs to China. Employees treated like garbage by management and Human Resources.
