Pros

Work/Life Balance work hour flexible for salary pay employee

Cons

There is no ladder for real talented engineer. An Engineer III could have super better technical skill than staff or senior staff engineer. Engineer level is a joke

Pros

Some very good people and even a handful of very good middle managers. Work hours are reasonable if you work in the right department. Some get free cowboys boots.

Cons

Shameless self-promoters fast tracked for promotion and recognition. Poor, destructive employees retained and promoted, good employees quit, often to less paying jobs just to escape. No peer reviews to filter out above. Obscene non-compete agreement strangles career opportunities for individual contributors. Long standing employees fired and then told to sign 1 year non-compete or not receive severance pittance. Executive management does not walk the talk. Executive hypocrisy - 2% cap on raises across the board, while CEO buys new GulfStream jet and uses it for personal trips. No golden parachutes for individual contributors. And on and on ... more to come in comments section.

Pros

USED to be a great place to work. Still a lot of good people here because they can't go anywhere else due to a non-compete they signed years ago that was never explained to them.

Cons

I accepted some stock options years ago. At the time, my manager never explained to me that by accepting these options, I was signing a one year non-compete. I actually heard about the non-compete years later. The options are completely worthless, and I haven't had a raise or bonus in 5 years. I have no future in this company and can't leave because of these worthless, silly stock options. Patty Hart had made a public comment; confirmed by HR; that anyone who felt they were treated like a "battered wife" (her quote), could leave the company with their noncompete waived. A friend of mine approached HR to test the water and was told "NO". Another LIE by Patty.
