Pros

The majority of people are great to work with. Most are willing to pitch in and get the job done no matter how difficult.

Cons

Senior management keeps saying how they value people but there have been no merit increases 4 of the past 8 years. Work life balance is nil. Salaried employees are on call 24/7 and expected to work holidays and weekends. They never published how many layoffs happened after the merger but it must be around 400.

Pros

Still good benefits like good health insurance, vacation and holidays. Pay is OK but is just on average

Cons

Following the merger between IGT and GTECH the company is trying to find focus and is having difficulty. Seems they would rather get inexperienced lower pay people rather than keep people that know anything about the industry.

Pros

Great People, Freedom to learn new skills, flexible working.

Cons

Lack of management leadership, work piled onto core contributors that work long days without proper recognition where it counts (pay check). Other employees able to 'hide' in certain departments without ever contributing to the company. The bars are set at very different heights depending on personal abilities. If you have skills you will be overworked, if you are under skilled you will be left alone for the sake of departmental headcount justification. Work from home culture is make believe, employees not turning up to the office for weeks, then showing face to shout about how hard they have been working for others to hear. All with management blessing. Over resourcing on projects to allow for individuals to go on vacation and not have to contribute anything, all at the customers expense. The result is a shrinking systems business due to over pricing in comparison to competitors. Listen up IGT, I see what is happening to the business every single day. I have escalated my concerns through management many many times with zero action taken. Serious lack of accountability, and no direction for employees in general. Merger is being used a the perfect excuse to strip benefits (Bonus, Healthcare, Salary increases) and delay promotions and career development for those that deserve it most. I will shortly leave this company, only due to other personal vested interests will I remain for the time being.
