Decent first job

Pros

Pretty easy to get hired. Work is straightforward. Some nice staff. Better atmosphere and pay than other grocery stores. Fine first job. I'd recommend this to you if you're in highschool or first year and want some extra money.

Cons

Admin expects you to be super friendly and shipper all the time (although that's supposed to be the appeal for IGA above things like Safeway).

Pros

Awesome environment, the workers are all so nice, and the boss is always willing to work with your schedule for school. The little grocery store knows everyone in it and everyone knows everyone.

Cons

You know every person that walks through that door because the community is so small, sometimes that can be a negative

Pros

Great benefits, nice people. Worked in the bakery department and it was very enjoyable. Nice mixture of duties.

Cons

Management is a bit out of touch. The work can be very physically demanding, and takes a toll after a while.
