HR is the worst. Very difficult to get in touch with anyone in that department. Currently “focusing on talent” outside of North America or Western Europe. Company policy established by the CEO. Questions about this new policy have gone unanswered. Can only assume it means there is no potential for job growth for those of us in these regions. Morale is super low. They treat employees like minions. Zero employee support. No training. The one incentive we had, a reward system, was recently cut, too. Seems like they are doing everything they can to get employees to leave. Takes forever to hire someone. Vacant positions going on 5 months now. Management doesn’t address the burden of more work on employees. Although PTO is okay, North America’s PTO is embarrassingly slim compared to European colleagues.

First of all , unless you are in FSP model; you will be assigned to unrealistic numbers of study and sites. Icon uses so many different systems for everything which is not user friendly and time consuming. Management is micromanaging and they are expecting you to be online when you are traveling and onsite monitoring and answering the emails. With these unrealistic work assignments and expectations you will be working , traveling , writing your trip and expense reports on weekends, and weeknights. No work balance, no trust on you. They are not listening to you. You are just a robot entering 70 hours per week and they are billing to the sponsors and making money. They don’t care about your life work balance or family life or personal needs. In the end, you will be failing to meet with the deadlines because there is no enough time to do all these %80 travel , 8 onsite visits and reports… answering emails… your emailbox will be bombed with so many unnecessary systems and micromanagement emails.
