Pros

I received experience in my field and I have learned a lot from my colleagues. But I would never recommend anyone to work in the company, it's not worth your health Physical or mental

Cons

Underpaid Over worked Micro-managed to death Never work for this company If you want to progress your career or if you would like a work environment that doesn’t have a clicky school yard feel to it then don’t work here You should be rated on your skills and your work ethic. It shouldn’t be based on who's scratching who’s back, who like who better or If your VP is in a different country or not

Pros

Nice people to work with. It used to be a great company... during PRA

Cons

- ICON has increasingly outsourced critical operations to cheaper centers like India, significantly affecting the quality of service and frustrating sponsors. - Upper management is completely disorganized, with little to no clear direction or accountability. - Mass layoffs across departments — morale is at an all-time low, and job security is nonexistent. - No raises are being given, even to high performers. Inflation? Not ICON’s concern. - Absolutely no room for growth — filled with false promises and misleading statements during hiring and performance reviews. - Endless system migrations and inefficient tools make it hard to focus on actual work. It feels like we’re going backward, not forward. - Leadership under Steve Cutler is running the company into the ground. Poor decisions, lack of vision, and no real investment in employees or clients. - Many talented people are leaving — those who stay are burned out and unsupported.

Pros

As a European company some ideals are a little better. The company is large enough to have some stability. I love the old fashioned PTO over the “unlimited time off. It actually allows me time off. The major holidays are a bonus. 28 days vacation and 8 major holidays are the best I uave ever had. Working with companies using unlimited time off I had no vacation for 5 years. This is life changing.and a major reason that I stay.

Cons

Class action lawsuit has affected every part of the job. No “merit increases” in 2025 when inflation has been 50% in 5 years. Company does not reimburse for internet. We get minimal coverage and options for even home office supplies. $300 a year and the options are so locked down you are lucky if you can get generic pens, forget about supplies you actually need to perform your job. That is left to out of pocket. We are making less and less every year in the same job. Yet company spin is the opposite. Oh did I mention we used to work 40 hours a week which meant the very low salary at least allowed a work-life balance. Now we have no increase in salary, but everyone is regularly working 20 hours of free OT every week for months. Things are so bad that giving kudos for exceptional work of a colleague is limited to an email and no gift cards are allowed. God forbid someone get a $25 gift card. The company may go broke. It is shameful. Things were not great but bearable until late 2024. Now the skimping is so bad we can’t do our jobs and I feel I pay to have a job. It is embarrassing and shameful. They do not give a per diem and it takes up to 6 weeks to get expenses paid.
