Pros
A large company with many opportunities to grow both horizontally and vertically. The sheer amount of resources within the company is astounding and can greatly improve your abilities and knowledge.
Cons
IBM is such a large corporation that it is easy to get lost in it. It is often times very difficult to balance getting your work done with creating a large enough network of co-workers to get the information that you need. Having a manager only a few levels above you that you will never see and most likely never speak to is not especially endearing for making a career at IBM.
