      Stop telling lies all the time about everything. IBM is going down hill fast. Everyone can see that now.

      Pros

      You cna learn a few things.

      Cons

      Your job will get cut regardless of well you do your job. IBM does not care about you as a person. They just told thousands of to employees that they can keep their job if they move to India or China. Those that stay are told" you better put in long hours for free or you will be cut next". They even tell workers that their job is safe but only if they train in a India worker to do their job. Once they train them they are cut anyway.

      Decent salary and good people as fellow employees as long as they aren't in management

      Cons

      Senior Management and executives have zero clue about what they are doing to destroy a once proud American ICON of "the right way" to do business ... it has become a cesspool in the last 20 years ...once proud to be an "IBMer" now I try not to have to mention it.

      Pros

      IBM is a great place if you want the feel of an entrepreneur but yet have the resources of a large company to back you up. It is great for you to express your ideas and for them to be noticed. Also, IBM is extremely conscious regarding work life balance, alot of employees work at home on Fridays and the company go out of its way to make sure work/life issues are taken care of. In a time when other companies are failing, IBM's solid business strategy has been able to deliver good numbers. Not many companies can say that.

      Cons

      The company is very bureaucratic in some ways. So compare to other companies, it can feel slow and cumbersome. It also can make you feel like a number in a giant system.
