Pros

The current CEO and none sales or customer service department s are super fantastic! To be fired from Holland America line is an honor it means that you're a quality person with lots of confidence and leadership ability! I don't have any of those qualities that's the reason why I'm still working here. Any department at Holland America line other than sales-related or customer service related it's fabulous!

Cons

There's lots of backbiting' stealing' gossip' anxiety attacks, nervous breakdowns, alcoholism ,rudeness, blatant lies, sexism and racism. The personal Cruise Consultants and customer service reps are the lowest of the low in the company.

Working onboard a ship...

Pros

You get to travel around the world, experience the local scene (food, life, etc) and you get to interact with different cultures.

Cons

You will work like you've never worked before. The few moments you get free, you will use to visit the port, do your laundry, party or sleep. Also, you will be pushed to "get promoted" to a higher rank, even if you are not interested. But the worst of all, after you are done with cruise ship life, most employers seem to think that your time onboard was all fun and games, not hard work.
