Pros

Fun people to work with, interesting variety of events (from dog shows to weddings), good place to start in the industry and move up. If you were a banquet bartender, you often got tips.

Cons

The manager turnover was horrible, almost as bad as the employee turnover. Also, they could have invested more in the quality of the facilities. It was sometimes embarrassing. Even when they did update it, it would quickly turn terrible.

Pros

It was fun when business was busy or steady. It was a great job for me while I was in college. Great alternative to retail or food.

Cons

It was boring when business was slow. They pay was low and the raises didn't make a difference.

Cons

Always on your feet. Chairs were not allowed.
