Pros

One HUGE pro is the perk of staying at a Hilton Hotel at a discounted rate, this is amazing and widely used. Travel the world and stay at an Embassy Suites for as little as $39.00 a night! But this is far from the only perk available.

Cons

I cannot think of any direct cons toward Hilton. A Hilton can be corporate, franchised or privately owned so there is no need to worry about the stuffy corporate feel or small town private feel, an employee can choose what fits their needs.

Pros

Global company, one of the biggest hotel companies in the world, recognized brand, travel benefits for employees

Cons

ecommerce is a revolving door with inexperienced people managers, poor communication, and has little to do with online marketing. Be prepared for endless checklists, annual restructuring, and unrealistic expectations. If you love digital and want to actually work with sem, Web design, email, social media, then look elsewhere.

Pros

A large recognizable company, with a professional work environment. There are a variety of perks for employees, really good PTO, and lots of opportunity for advancement.

Cons

The offices are cubicle farms, with management inhabiting the surrounding offices. There is a very pervasive hierarchical and authoritarian atmosphere. Departments are extremely fragmented, and communication between them is laughable. The corporate structure appears very top heavy, with an over-significance placed on Job Titles. As a result, in my experience, company policies are woefully disregarded, and department heads can establish their own set of rules. Compensation also ranges wildly, and is not always reflective of the quality or quantity of the workload performed.
