Pros

Flex-work. Reasonably good products. Good canteen. Good colleagues, in general

Cons

Managers are asked to "encourage" employees to give a good rate on Glassdoor, other platforms, and surveys that rank best employers. Consequently the results are misleading. Middle management are often too junior. Many times their collaborators are more experienced and qualified than them. Your career depends on how much the decision makers like you. If you're of Germanic race, then you're better per se (shame). And if you are a good bootlicker, this is the right place for you. People in HR department are nice, but unfortunately don't have a say in anything.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. At Hilti, we do encourage open feedback through a number of channels including; Glassdoor, Times Top 100 Employers and our Global Employee Opinion Survey (GEOS). We do this so that we can engage our employees on a number of topics and work with them to generate improvement action plans where necessary, which we then review at regular check points throughout the year. Whilst we don’t promote or encourage our employees to leave positive reviews, we do advertise the fact that both employees and external candidates have the opportunity to have their say (positive or negative) through these channels. Here at Hilti, each employee also has a very clear individual development plan which is reviewed on a regular basis and we’re proud that 80% of management roles are filled by internal candidates because of this process - but we’d love the opportunity to discuss this topic and your feedback further with you.

Pros

Well. As your professional development! NOTHING. Car, Fuel, Incentives these are all pros but they are secondary if you are sincere about making your career.

Cons

1. Employees are treated like slave. 2. Management is meant for politics 3. Work Environment is pathetic 4. Only show off culture. You can find the worst person of your life in Hilti.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review - naturally we're extremely disappointed with what you have written. We periodically measure the engagement of our employees on several parameters including the work environment, culture and team leadership as well as inclusion each year through GEOS. This year Hilti India has scored well above the industry average. Since your experience with the company does not seem to have been good, I would urge you to open up and let us know the exact circumstances that lead to this so that we can improve ourselves. To discuss this further, please send your contact details to HRIndia@hilti.com and a member of our team will contact you as soon as possible Thank you once again for taking the time to write a review and we look forward to speaking with you soon.

Pros

-Products are innovative and competitive. -Not hard to sell when creative and understand value proposition. -Product Training is solid. -Great trips and recognition - was Top Sales Club, Masters Club multiple times. Took us to places like the Padre’s stadium in San Diego. Great with trips.

Cons

-Negative Overall Culture. Communication can be lacking and feedback limited to a written communication. -So focused on college students coming out of school they neglect talented individuals that have great ideas and talent to contribute. -Lowest pay of any like competitor (although great benefits). -Account Managers have no way to develop if they are not willing to “move” or “relocate”. Causes stagnation at the bottom levels. -No stagnation at “management level”, but because they require moving often great talent leaves because there is no development opportunities for someone not willing to move.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’m glad you enjoyed the sales reward trips during your eight years of being a team member. Because of the distance Hawaii is from the mainland, a larger percentage of communication has to be done by email or videoconference than elsewhere. But, a Regional Manager does visit several times per year to spend time with all team members for training and one-on-one career development discussions. In Hawaii, our Account Managers are distributed through all four development levels, which means promotions are available for those who qualify, not needing relocation. To move beyond the top level, one would need to relocate for a period of time, but this is to help him or her gain expanded knowledge in another market or department. While a large number of college graduates join us (along with experienced professionals), every member of our Hilti team has similar development, training and progression opportunities. Once again thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and we wish you good luck for the future.
