Pros

Good products, good teams (at base level) Had good culture and values. Now, going down the drains due to work politics

Cons

No work-life balance Have to work more than 14 hours every day (okay if there is no politics) Senior management is clueless about the team and skills and experience of the team members Sr. management take biased decisions A lot of politics on day-to-day basis that affects productivity and mental peace.

Undervalued Employees

Pros

Tucson office is really nice and modern with snacks, coffee and drinks. Free parking in downtown parking garage. Great people to work with and great work-life balance.

Cons

Upper management does not value its top performing technical employees (engineers and geologists). Top performing employees continue to be denied promotions after being recommended for promotion by their direct managers. There is 0 professional development and no form of recognition or appreciation for dedicated, top performing employees. Lack of promotions wouldn't be as big of an issue if their pay was even remotely in line with market value. Base salaries are consistently 25% to 45% below market value and even worse considering non-management positions get no bonus whatsoever. It is unheard of for mining engineers and geologists to get no bonus. This huge discrepancy in pay is why they cannot keep good people. There is also clear difference in treatment of people in some roles vs other roles. For example, Account Managers and Business Development Managers are treated very well with bonuses, special events, team building, expensive dinners, etc. While the lowly technical staff gets nothing and is not even invited to most of the big events. Over the years I have seen Hexagon take away one thing after another such as the flex schedule, working from home, paid weekend shifts, holiday giftcards, the list goes on. There is not much left for them to take away and there is not much reason to stay here. Hexagon has had good year after good year but does not share that profit with its employees. Its very unfortunate the way this company treats its technical staff and hopefully the recent mass exodus will wake up the upper management... but i doubt it. Basically, this is not a good company to have a long lasting career with. But if you are in need of a job, this is a good place to work until you find something better.

Pros

Technology and helping manufacturers is great Upside

Cons

Incompetent higher level management at times Major layoffs hitting after a year of expenses on hold Shifting unrealistic quotas at times and pressure used Making bad management choices or expectations then acting or implying like it is workers fault Upper management far removed from the day to day needs and pressures at times of the people who do the real work
