Pros

I've learned a lot at Hexagon. My team is great, and the morale has increased over the years. Direct managers are great, and the VP is putting in a lot of effort to positively impact the culture.

Cons

Inconsistency of the pay structure, and they don't provide you with your goals until after Q1, going into Q2. They have implemented a "multi-year" bump, where they pay you for one year and an additional percentage on the contract instead of the full amount you closed it for. This was supposed to be an "incentive' and their response to this was that they removed the numbers from your metrics for the following year. Truthfully, this should have been the case regardless. They also updated the pay structure to cap your commission; anything you exceed, you do not get until the beginning of the following year. The idea is for employee retention; however, it just makes people want to resign.

Pros

Genuinely impactful technology: Hexagon’s portfolio spans digital reality, AI, and advanced manufacturing software, working with some of the world’s most recognisable brands. The solutions are not just incremental improvements — they are changing industries and helping solve real-world challenges at global scale. Exceptional customer base: Working with clients across aerospace, automotive, energy, and public sector means exposure to cutting-edge projects and the opportunity to see technology in action across critical sectors. Collaborative people and culture: Teams are diverse, highly skilled, and truly supportive. There is a strong culture of cross-functional collaboration, with colleagues across design, engineering, marketing, and operations working together to deliver. Innovation-driven environment: The company constantly invests in new platforms (e.g., cloud, AI, digital experience) and modernises its digital infrastructure. There’s a clear drive to remain at the forefront of technology, not to follow. Career development: Opportunities to stretch beyond your job description are frequent. If you’re ambitious and proactive, you can take on high-impact projects and build an impressive track record quickly.

Cons

Fast-paced and demanding: The workload can be intense, particularly around global launches or transformation programmes. Expect to juggle multiple high-profile priorities at once. Constant change: With divestments, acquisitions, and transformation initiatives, the organisation is always evolving. This creates exciting opportunities but also requires adaptability and resilience. Complex structure: Being a global matrix organisation, decision-making can sometimes be slow, with many stakeholders to align before execution. Resource constraints: In some areas, particularly during transition phases, resources can feel stretched — requiring teams to “do more with less”.
