Pros

Your coworkers are great to work with. You get to drive brand new cars.

Cons

When hired, you are promised 45 to 50 hours a week, up to 12 percent commission on your sales, and a monthly profit sharing bonus. What you actually get is mandated no overtime allowed, no commission because you have been promoted to an assistant branch manager, and a monthly bonus that you owe the company no matter how much profit you them. You are driven to go home and drink at the end of every day because of the irate customers, management's reign of terror, and the unrealistic job expectations.

Pros

-Lots of opportunity for hours especially overtime

Cons

-Hours- They will tell you the hours are 8-5 M-F but that is a lie. Most locations are 7:30-6 pm M-F and Saturday 9-12. - Pay is a joke ($10.50/hr) -They will move you to new work locations with out thinking or asking you first -Upper management is a bunch of skeeves that hit on you and blow cigarette smoke in your face thinking its attractive. -High turnover rate -After you quit, you will NEVER SEE YOUR RETRO PAY! My Story: I applied and quickly accepted the job at Hertz as an MT thinking the hours were typical 8-5 and knowing the pay was so so. After training without telling me, they moved me to a new work location that was never discussed and happened to be almost an hour from my home. Where the training location was 5 minutes. Realizing this was not the path for me I quit after a month. During my month of employment, we were all given a pay raise of 1 dollar making the wage $11.50/hr. I have yet to see a dime of that pay raise. I have contacted the company multiple times and they all pass me to the next person saying Ill get my pay eventually. It has been 3 months and I have yet to receive my money. Which totals to almost $300 in retro pay they owe me. I could take them to court, but it would cost me more in court fees that I am owed and they know that. Horrible company that I am sure to never do business with in the future. Good luck to anyone else who falls into their trap, its not worth it!!

Pros

Its easy to get a job there, interview process are a normal process (sometimes a small test like data entry or maybe excel test) and then an interview with no tricky questions, normal stuff like "tell me last issue you had with a colleague and how you sort it out", previous experience, why you are the perfect candidate...

Cons

Human resources department is a total mafia. Also very incompetent (for instance leaving an employee out of a selection process for a new position because the human resources agent forgot his CV in her drawer for days!). Also, many process that are usuless and a lost of time, like for example daily team meetings where most of the days nothing new is said but it has to be done, just in case someone comes to check. Also in some areas if you want to be promoted you need to laugh your managers jokes more than do a good job. I have seen brilliant people doing a great job and being agents for years until another company gives them the opportunity they should have, while people with no experience and an average performance that was chatting with the manager every day and going to the social events would be promoted in no time. Some of the positions and very low paid
