Pros

They pay you for working. Work is fairly easy and they are generally flexible with you. It's really hard to be fired

Cons

The company is driven by the board of directors. All that's on their minds is money today. They don't have a vision beyond a couple years. Too much bureaucratic bill that drives decision making. They are outsourcing huge chunks of the org.

Pros

As a manager, you get excellent car benefit, insurance fully paid by the company and decent base salary. You will learn to manage a business in every aspect.

Cons

In Canada, most decisions are dictated by HR in Toronto. These people have barely any idea what they are doing and the damages they are causing to the operations. Every employee can be replaced and your success will greatly depend on your ability to be an order taker. There will be no respect whatsoever for your intelligence (which will be perceived as a threat). Stay away at all cost unless you are passive and do not really care about the success of the company you work for.

Management Trainee

Pros

The branch environment laid back

Cons

Management Trainee is certainly not what the position entails, it's counter sales to customers renting cars. Salary is variable based on how much add on insurance products you can wrangle into a deal when someone rents a car. If that weren't bad enough, it's even almost impossible to do that because 85-90% of your day can be spend driving cars around. So if there you're never in the office you pretty much can't even attempt to sell insurance products when you're picking up, dropping off, and moving cars from branch to branch. The formula is a set up for failure
