AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
Pros
Overtime pay on holidays is the only pro I can think of.
Cons
Where do I start? At the Corpus Christi location, we were told to lie and tell customers we were out of the type of car they booked and force customers into paying for upgrades. We had ridiculous policies around the use of debit cards, which would sometimes lead to customers being physically violent towards us. The system would present a different charge at the counter than what the customer was quoted online and there was no way to fix it due to the dated software Hertz uses. They pressure you to make sales but give you no other sales training other than the afore-mentioned lying to customers. I've been in sales for 15 years and asked so many times how to overcome certain objections and all my GM had to say was "Just say you strongly recommend they buy coverage" The hours are ungodly. I agreed to a 3pm-11pm shift but often ended up staying until after 1am due to flight delays. They don't pay you nearly enough for the stress, drama, and trauma
