Pros

I started working with Hertz out of College. Moved through the Manager Trainee program into a Branch Manager role. As a BM you have so much to manage and get exposed to a lot. Your're basically running a small business. I got experience with inside sales dealing with customers coming into local branch and selling insurance and upselling. Outside sales experience by meeting with local dealerships, body shops, and corporate accounts to secure new business. I also had to manage train and develop staff at two locations. Also got to mange a fleet of rentals of about +150 vehicles (maintenance, damage, logistics). This was by far the richest job experience I've ever had and the people the team was the best. This role is good for getting your feet wet. As a BM you get to drive the rentals for free, with free gas.

Cons

This job is extremely fast paced. I vividly recall opening our doors at 8am and being completely slammed until 2pm (not even taking a bathroom break). The days flew by. At my location we didn't have a vehicle prep so we had to clean all the cars ourselves.
