HORRIBLE - AKA "HENKHELL"

Business Outlook

Pros

Some nice people struggling to cope with massive, mindless work overload and utterly incompetent management.

Cons

HORRIBLE - AKA HENKHELL - Revolving door Management. Environment similar to High School kids - cliques, backstabbing, dishonesty. A real horror show.

Thank you for working for our company for more than 5 years and describing your impressions from this time in a review. At Henkel, we play as a team and want all our employees to feel comfortable. Therefore, we take your criticism very seriously and would like to find out what we could have done to make your experience a better one. We would be thankful if you could share your feedback in more detail in a personal discussion with your former contact in the HR department. Having an honest atmosphere is of utmost importance to us, and we hope that we will be able to use your feedback to further develop ourselves as an employer. Best regards, Your Henkel Team

Pros

Very healthy workplace, very healthy interaction among employees of different ranks, very friendly atmosphere, if kind of laidback. No bullying, backstabbing or workplace politics (at least among us plebs - specialist, senior sp., & analyst) Very friendly, approachable and helpful team leads, managers - basically everyone! They all treat me like a bunso XD

Cons

50k/month is just enough to support me and my mom - this is my first job right out of college and I still live like a student anyway, been 3+ years, salary has gone up from 43k to 50k. I'm a language speaker, so 25k basic + 25k language premium (Mandarin) Why is all this a con? I later found out my teammate makes twice what I make... But I'm still staying because of the pros above. PS Some employees are so secretive with their salary. It pissses the heck out of me because that's exactly what capitalists want. It's like - so what if your salary turns out to be much higher than someone else's? S/he won't stab you in a dark alley! If worse comes to worst, s/he is unable to control their jealousy and make things bad for you. No problem, you leave! It's a big world! So post your salaries on Glassdoor everyone, citizens of the world! It's anonymous for gosh sakes. Let's all help one another!
