Multicultural environment, team autonomy, diverse technologies, moderately high load in few places, modern platform and great devops culture. Depending on the tribe you can get a chance to work on interesting projects with interesting people. It is a great place for junior engineers to grasp a variety of technologies used at scale. Awesome product (discounted for employees) and noble mission.
Cons
Not so many people with strong technical skills, experienced senior engineer would struggle to learn from colleagues. Unhealthy focus on soft skills while technical skills are severely underrated, if you want to make a career you would need to develop a managerial level of soft skills even on a technical ladder. Salaries below the market. Avoid VAS tribe at all costs, it is poisoned by an empowered chapter lead/staff engineer that spoils everything he touches. Not sure if it is intentional or just an unfortunate mix of arrogance and ignorance. As in many other companies, the only constant is change, prepare to change teams and to move between the projects.
