My recruiting process took altogether 6 weeks. After my application in mid-August, I got the invitation to the first virtual interview round within 4 days. Smooth, friendly, professional interview. Flawless organization. The second virtual interview was similarly neatly organized and conducted. Also the third virtual interview. I had the possibility to have a face-to-face interview in the final round. Very positive, very flexible approach, and a really pleasant discussion. After the last interview round I got a job offer within two weeks. To sum up the recruiting experiences: very positive impressions from the very first moment on. And my onboarding was likewise a positive experience, as well as my first month at the company. Friendly atmosphere, positive approach, sharing of opinion is encouraged. Helpful colleagues, active involvement from the very first day on. Taking calculated risks, experimenting and learning from possible mistakes is encouraged.

The experience of our employees is very important to us at HelloFresh, and we are sorry to see that there was room for improvement during your tenure on the sales team. We are constantly working to incorporate useful and interesting ways to train our sales team members including weekly webinars, the use of our online learning management systems, and training designed specifically to develop our Sales Managers into the best managers that they can be. While we try to release schedules with as much notice as possible, due to the nature of scheduling events, there can be last minute changes to add more hours to each employee’s schedule. Our sales managers to strive to share the available shifts evenly throughout the sales teams, depending on one’s availability and preferences. In the last 12 months we made changes to our overtime policy, however this was communicated to all existing team members and they were provided with new contracts reflecting this. If you believe there has been an error in your pay we recommend you reach out to the Sales Manager at your former location to confirm if a pay adjustment is required. Than you again for sharing this review, we take feedback like this very seriously and have shared this with the HR team who work directly with the HelloFresh sales team.

Pros

- There are a few pleasant people working here. - A few OK benifits eg. fruit, drinks, yoga classes

Cons

- Very poor management at every level. - Staff considered a disposable resource - very high turn over, no attempt to accommodate concerns, aspirations etc - Promotion is based on length of service not merit so there are a lot of incompetent people in senior and management positions. - Blame culture/scapegoating/bullying are rife - errors and failures are pinned on individuals not discussed as how it went wrong at each stage and can be rectified. People are singled out (often for things they had no involvement) - Expected to work considerably over contract hours with no compensation - Very low staff morale and satisfaction, everyone is unhappy in their job - Punished if contact HR about concerns - Performance reviews are tokenistic at best, your point of view doesn't matter only that of your manager which is often wildly inaccurate. - Equipment and programmes not fit for purpose, makes doing job very difficult. - Ambition and initiative are punished not encouraged - Disorganised in every aspect - Firmly believe that having Friday beers and company events makes up for all of the above. - The person who shouts loudest gets their way regardless of merit - Poor product and questionable processes makes it hard to get behind
