Struggling Company, Culture of Mediocrity

Pros

Steep discounts on company products. Friendly employees and a very social culture. Many opportunities to transfer to other markets or brands. No real pressure to perform and easy to coast by simply doing the bare minimum and being agreeable.

Cons

Very hierarchical culture where all decision making is HiPPO and data are used only to support said decisions. Leaders have been promoted to positions that are too senior for their skillset leading to poor decisions in general and high-insecurity as they can't explain why the financials keep getting worse. Questionable and at times outright illegal business practices although likely due to incompetence over anything intentional. Poor business outlook with growth coming from cost saving- including layoffs, slashed benefits, and quality cuts.
