Pros

Nice offices and can send you round the world to other countries to work in.

Cons

Hays is fine if you are a grad or you have never worked in recruitment. If you have recruitment experience I would not bother, you cant be creative, no room to think outside the box. Hays is very hireachy its the first thing people ask you when you are there (what level you are". Managers not allowed to go for drinks with people in lesser titles. I found it to be a very bullyish environment and they drill into you everyday that they are the No.1 but no one really knows what in, if you look at the papers its Randstad. I had a successful desk but also then went to Hays Talent Solutions, which I was asked to go and do sales calls whilst onsite, which isn't exactly why I went to work internally. They make you feel like you are constantly in trouble, its just not a great atmosphere.

We are really keen to have a conversation with you to further understand what has gone on. Can you contact Trisha Brookes - Director of People and Culture to shed some light on these issues.

Pros

Great training structure, but that’s probably about it.

Cons

- Long hours, which are the norm in recruitment - micromanaged - management are always breathing down your neck not giving you a chance to be independent and grow. - favouritism - even if you’re making money for them, they still have their favourites who practically don’t do anything and yet still get promoted! - No support when needed. - No professionalism, management discuss your personal information with other colleagues and before you know it everyone knows your business. I’m sure not all branches are the same, but there’s definitely a lot of this going around.
