Pros

Snacks in the office, a plus I guess

Cons

CEO is a liar, mentioned that no one would be laid off during COVID-19 and proceeds to lay off over 75 new staff. Pays less than most recruiting firms. Very racist company, I can count on one hand the number of minority staff employed.

Hays Response

It is true we suffered a loss of employees after Covid struck, but the number mentioned above is significantly higher that the true number of people that were impacted, and some have since been rehired. Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is extremely important to us, and we have engaged a global ED and I consulting firm to support our efforts. We also created our Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee (DISCO) over a year ago and have rolled out a number of initiatives to support an inclusive culture, such as implementing blind recruitment for our core employee hiring. We are fully committed to fostering a workplace and culture where all feel they belong. Pros

Great company culture, friendly & sound team and management. Fun company days out. Nice modern office located on Grafton Street. Suited to graduates. Opportunity to progress.

Cons

Awful base and commission structure, you will scrape to pay your rent. Unrealistic targets, high fees to employers who often argue and then you have to "defend your fees" which is difficult to do as a rookie! Long hours, very competitive and stressful "call centre" type environment.
