Pros

Hays provides numerous opportunities for top performers, and internal mobility is encouraged. The flexibility of the work model (including remote work) enables individuals outside of Canada to spend quality time with family without having to use their vacation days. There are club trips and social events that can enhance the experience. With many colleagues from diverse backgrounds, it’s easy to connect with others based on shared interests!

Cons

One of the main drawbacks of any recruitment role, including at Hays, is the high-pressure and stressful atmosphere. It’s easy to let the job take over your life, and unfortunately, management often overlooks this as long as you’re meeting performance targets. While I understand that this is a profit-driven industry, if you’re seeking a career that prioritizes your well-being, this may not be the right fit for you. There is a notably high turnover rate. Like many large organizations, there's a lot of trivial gossip, but how much you engage with it is ultimately up to you. However, if you find yourself in the wrong team, you can quickly find yourself in a very toxic work environment.
