Pros

I work with many great people and we produce excellent products, Harry & David grows has been growing their own pears in southern Oregon for +75 years. Medford Oregon and the surrounding area is a wonderful place to live.

Cons

Having been with the company through thick and thin I'd say it never changes. The current senior management team is the worse yet. They have no respect for employees and are again cutting staff to the bone and sucking money out of the business for their own profit, Do not under any circumstances work for Harry & David, you will quickly regret it if you do.

Pros

If you love the community. The Rogue Valley is stunning: beautiful river, great mountains, and Ashland offers some dining and culture. And maybe you're tired of the rat race, maybe you can buy twice as big of a house in Medford. You don't really care about exceeding your workplace, really know what's going on. Love watercooler chats about how the company is screwing you. And most importantly really really like meetings.

Cons

Weight gain from eating all of the samples that linger around the building. Alcoholism from drinking heavily to cope with the feeling that management makes you feel like you are incapable of doing anything right. Therapy charges from the way 100 vice presidents make you feel like everything you ever knew might not be true anymore. And a divorce lawyer because your spouse has become annoyed that you don't show up for dinner anymore and you keep throwing around the idea of starting your own business because there is so much opportunity in this new town you've moved to (although no one has any money).

Pros

Good health benefits, nice treats in the break room. The call center has a pleasant atmosphere, and the people who work there have high espirit de corps. During the peak season the call center staff pull together to overcome obstacles and achieve production goals in a true spirit of teamwork.

Cons

Long hours during Christmas season, pay below living wage, too many incompetent senior managers who are being paid far more than they are worth. The company relies heavily on the experience and skills of its year-round call center staff to meet sales and service goals but does not reward them adequately for their contribution.
