Pros

They have flexible scheduling, competitive pay even for the part times sales positions. Can be a fast pace, fun place to work where you get to sample all the food! The product is easy to sell, especially the pears.

Cons

The company is great with their catalog department, they run that like a well oiled machine. However, running a retail operation is different. Corporate never seems to know which product will sell best and overstocks the stores on their tried and true products. Communications are slow and they resist trying new and better ways of doing business. You have to jump through hoops just to get a new organization idea or marketing idea approved

Pros

You randomly get free wonderful quality products as moral incentive, including free turkey at holidays! Also offered free training for different forklifts. Management was very down to earth.

Cons

Lots of walking, if in shipping or receiving, you walk almost 1/2 mile to desk, not to mention walking around warehouse during your shift. And pay is not that great, but more than minimum wage.

Pros

Employee discount If you enjoy over priced snack food...

Cons

Bait & switch hiring tactics. They promise you full time employment but you'll end up being seasonal. Bring your crystal ball to work with you because there high expectations but No training! poor uncaring attitudes from management. No one is friendly or willing to help show you the ropes. I worked graveyard and there was no training program in place. You have to physically beg for help to learn their RF system and warehouse layout. People all over the warehouse are rude and seem to get off at yelling at the new employees. Everyone will tell you what not to do, but no one will help show you what to do. You'll be nothing more than a janitor with a forklift key. Warehouse Management is comprised of low ambition, unskilled workers who were given their titles mearely because they have been with the company forever. Not because of education, or people/managerial skills. Don't let the recruiters hypnotize you with their "employee discount" pendulum. You'll be promised full time employment & end up a slave to the system. Honestly the worst employment I've ever had!
