Pros

Contingent position with benefits & time off.

Cons

The con list is long: • Pay is not adequate for work. Pay is not in the same ballpark as other contingent workers (Currently $8.00 less than similar contingent vendors (Apx. 48%). • HCL is ok paying new people a higher wage than current employees. Clearly they will do this again in the future why would I want to invest myself as a worker when I will be the next one shorted? • HCL “leadership” is overbearing, has never performed the role and had no idea how difficult the tasks presented are. • Recent change occurred adding four new responsibilities to the role, with no financial gain. Much more is expected of us, the amount of stress that has been added is quadrupled. • “Leadership” does not stand by their employees. They point the finger and put the employee in the hot box as they do not understand the role or actions. • Only certain functions of the job are counted in the daily production. Yet it all must get done. • Leadership is self-serving and absent as we are working remotely. • They are constantly asking us to refer friends to this place…. They should understand why they cannot get jobs filled, people with less experience can make more at Wal-Mart. • This is a MISERABLE place to work where you are not respected, honored or appreciated. • Annual appraisals are a joke, no specifics, no examples, no monthly or quarterly reviews.... nothing is consistent. • They are absent until something gains the attention of 3M management, then they do not leave you alone, they maneuver to find a way to blame the employee. When they should incorporate themselves into the process as a whole.

Pros

Training for freshers is okay. Health insurance.

Cons

Heavily underpaid. Annual salary increments are also about 5% regardless of performance. Overworked due to lack of staff which they refuse to fill probably for project cost reduction. HR is not honest, false promises are given during the recruiting process. You will end up doing tasks that you totally did not expect. They put freshers into whatever domain they prefer and not based on what you want. They also have a contract period which must be served before leaving. Otherwise, you are required to pay a huge amount back to the company or else they don't give you a service letter. The notice period is 3 months. The majority of their clients are from US and EU regions therefore 24/7 rotating shifts are always there.

Pros

Policy are not transparent. In Offer letter AMPB was given as fix salary but after i resigned they deducted my salary just like others as part of their money making policy "AMPB". They show they have very less variable but their variable is very high. Half of your salary is variable which you will never be able to know until you resign. Will take this ahead to Labour Court of India.

Cons

Everything is Cons, no Pros about HCL.
