Pros

Good work from home. That’s it.

Cons

My time here was disappointing. Salary was unsatisfactory. Hard work you put in gets no recognition, but being agreeable will. HR here lacks competence. Don't expect to raise a concern because they get defensive as though you have personal issues with them. The worst part is that you can't take leave even if you're entitled to, as you have a balance. They treat you badly like as though you did a bad mistake and if you take leave and will call you even for something unimportant. They expect you to work during weekends with no compensation or extra pay. Working here feels challenging; never join this EduTech in HCL because the leadership is unstable and toxic. You don't know who your client is or what is expected, but they want things delivered quickly without giving decent time to think and gather resources. Planning is so poor that nothing ever anyone does will actually be useful, and every work that you have been breaking your head for will go into the dustbin. Employees below band 3 are treated poorly. My work as a trainer involved travel, and the hotels they book for us are very very bad. Spending a little more won't damage your company financially, especially when you boast that the owners are the richest in India. Treat employees well. Don't keep hiring retired people who contribute nothing, while those doing the hard work are worked like donkeys and have to slog for peanuts. Invest in good people, and you will automatically have good clients. Don't treat youngsters like cheap labor.

Pros

Work From Home projects still available.

Cons

They don't have projects currently. There is massive ramp down in almost every project. They are laying off people on bench by forcing them to resign and leave company in next 10 days if they don't get into a project. They are not helping to get project, and moreover there are no project, so after you clear the project interview, they say that position is dropped. And HR blames the employee that they are not working hard to find a project. When you get into some project, you will face micromanagement by managers, they will ask you details of every minute from you. Overtime work is there without any extra pay. HCL Under the covers is not an idol company . Also apart from this all, there are no increments for lower level employees.

Pros

Absolutely none. If you NEED money, that is the ONLY pro. Management is not good/helpful/insightful/supportive. Mgmt sees YOU as someone to step on for them to move up. Leave at the first chance you get because there's no real growth here. This is a springboard position and that's it.

Cons

3/10 benefits. They switch up your benefit plans without notice. I had to pay an extra $300 because my plan was changed between my first appointment and 2nd. No email notice of any kind. Completely inexcusable website/portals for a company that is worth $12B+ Management doesn't seem to like to help if you're not Indian. They leave you out to dry and then reprimand you when you receive 0 training of any kind to work when working in a new environment. I've had a racist comment made at me because my MANAGER thought I was white, when I am not. One of the SVP bragged about record profits during a meeting, but 0 kind of compensation was passed down to the people actually doing the work. Just a "hey we're not doing layoffs at least!" They're just continuing to underpay and pocket the difference. VASTLY underpay you / lowball like no other. They try to use their contract companies benefits as their own. They tried to say because Facebook had free food, you should be able to work for 10K+ under market value for the role. They use & abuse entry level/ Fresh college grads. There is no real upward mobility regardless of your work ethic. Mgmt will also try to take any and all credit you do. Because that credit is shown during leadership meetings, and regular workers are not involved in those, but when "Good job team, kudos" emails go out. Your team that did all the work is never mentioned, only your manager who didn't do anything at all with the project because he had no idea how to do the work. They just like to be buttered up and then maybe they'll consider you for a promotion or maybe a $1 raise. I mentioned record profits and I was told theres no funds for a raise :) Mgmt is also pretty incompetent about pretty much everything other than "making a report". Any kind of question is usually met with "contact HR" They provide 0 support to help you grow within because they know they don't need you. Management threatens to replace at the 1st sight of struggles, instead of offering to help and help you grow into a better team member. But they just berate you because their culture is just that. Their words of encouragement are "get better or I'll have to look for someone else" Thats verbatim. My manager in a meeting once told half the team that he wouldn't have hired them(Even tho his own technical skill was below average, he just knew excel) So team morale is clearly never a factor since they think they can just berate you into doing work, while underpaying you of course. Bottom of the barrel company and they know it. Stay away from this company at all costs, its not worth it.
