Pros

Prevailing Wages, remote work, floating holidays (8)

Cons

Company is too siloed, you can not get timely responses from anyone outside of your immediate practice. Management does not provide a mentoring atmosphere, more of a combative and berating environment. A lot of carrots are dangled in front of people and then they go on ignored, like it never happened. Annual Bonuses are too subjective and often pay raises do not occur or less than COLA. If you have a higher education and can work with a lot of autonomy, you’ll either sink or swim. If you’re not in a Tech position, you can forget about having a meaningful work environment. Time off benefits are limited to 10 days a year regardless to tenure and the company observes an annual power down which eats 5 of your days off. If you’re out sick you are expected to burn your PTO. For a company worth over $12B a year, they are not very rewarding for peoples hard work.

Pros

If you are with a good project and a good team you can have a good time and growth.

Cons

1. Too much inclined towards client and everything proposed is accepted. 2. "Employee first. Customer Second" policy of the company is a big joke. 3. Some clients just are too difficult to work with and employees are further burdened with additional responsibilities on HCL end. 4. Group managers in most projects are in the company for more than 20+ years and they are still working with the master - slave approach. 5. Group managers make it hell for the employees and contribute to the attrition of the company. 6. HCL mandatory trainings are too vast and very difficult for laterals to spend time to complete them and they have no value to add.
