Pros

Good Pay Good Holiday Entitlement 25% staff discount Good sick pay benefits

Cons

Very high expectations VS lack of resources Poor Communication from area team Cannot take holiday allowance as it 'does not suit the needs of the business' Crazy hours + lots of weekend work (pretty much everyone) No work life balance (even though this is apparently encouraged) Lack of support from area team A lot of 'he said, she said' so not living by their values Have seen a lot of good people leave/take a length of absence due to stress Favouritism Lack of belief in people

Pros

H&M is a values driven company that is fully invested in you and your development. They support you every day, they set you up for success, they encourage you to make mistakes and enjoy watching you learn from them. If you can't find happiness at H&M, you are doing it wrong.

Cons

Very few cons. Heavy work load with low amount of hours would be the only thing worth mentioning.

Pros

Overall the company pays higher than average for retail and there is a lot of mobility in store to move up. You can be hired as a part time seasonal sales associate and become a manager in three years. There are opportunities to travel and support stores in other states and countries and all sales staff can earn vacation, wellness, and holiday pay

Cons

Opportunities to move out of a store into district/corporate are few and far between and oftentimes depends on who you know rather than merits. Due to the nature of the fast paced environment that is constantly changing, people who are good at their jobs tend to not get as many chances to travel because they are needed in store too much. Schedules change constantly and you are almost always working weekends and nights. There is not enough security support for staff and customer issues especially during busy weekends and holidays.
