Pros

Salary on time. Salary and benefits are good but less variables. Gives good exposure to market. Well known and famous brand. Good platform for freshers to gain corporate experience. Management gives good time for learning and making mistakes.

Cons

Very slow in adopting technology and changes. Appraisal system is pathetic. Everything is based on relations with immediate senior. Achievements is having low weightage than family relations and personal relations with seniors. Many employees are working there on the recommendations of their family members who are or were working there... HR department is not much aggressive. Huge difference in corporate policy and divisional policies. Profession growth is big challenge. Lot of internal politics within division and departments. During Covid G&B reduced manpower drastically without looking at their performance and kept staff who are favorite to the bosses; irrespective of their poor performance. Most bosses are not open for new ideas and concepts rather they discourage it and promote people who says "Yes" to their all ideas. "Yes Boss...Yes Boss" is very common there. People spent more time in reasons, justification and blame games rather for achievement and that is because huge hierarchy, unavailability of proper systems, more human involvement, short vision of leaders and pathetic review systems. Good performer will also land up doing unproductive work.
