The Rise and Fall of GoStudent

I can work the hours that suit me.

Cons

Pay starts at £11.00 per 50 minutes. The maximum is £16.00 for English tutors and £15.00 for maths tutors, and then it's capped. (GoStudent reduced the maximum pay rates for some subjects from £16.00 per 50 minutes to £15.00 for tutors earlier this year, with less than 24 hours' notice). The incremental increase in wages is dependent upon meeting certain bonus criteria. Tutors no longer get paid for trial lessons unless the student becomes a paying student and is locked into a (long) contract. This used to be a company I was proud to work for. They once had great ethics, and I recommended them to my teacher friends. I now only stay with them because I love the students I teach.

Unfortunately there are none, can't lie about that.

Cons

This platform continues with its illegal actions by recording the lessons without the consent of the children, teenagers, parents and teachers. They never give contracts for the jobs.

home office? Not even, if you have a manager that does not approve it, you do not get it.

Cons

Toxic culture, toxic leaders, no recognition. You never know they can fire you any day with a 20 minutes meeting. People do not trust the leaders and the CLevel. Everyone good left. The GoStudent ship is slowly sinking.
