Pros

- The multicultural environment was great - The education as the main purpose was really satisfactory - The benefits after 7 months working as an independent contract were good - The internal culture and and working atmosphere was nice

Cons

- I was fired with no reason (apparently by performance) - I was part of the sales department where the competition, extra hours during nights and weekends were much. - The company was growing really fast, they hired many people, but they also fire people all the time, just because they disagree with the leaders. - The HR process was not really transparent sometimes as well as the decision within the team. - The leadership inside the company should be more virtuous, accurate and empathic. They never care about my interest in moving to other department. They just "did not need me more". -The internal process with product never have any solution and they don't care because they just want to sell and sell, however it takes. - The remote work is forbidden, just 2 days per week as Home office. Never mind the traffic or long distance transportation. - The mental health was not important at all.

Pros

Very friendly working environment Good intro to background of company and ethos Instant message communication style so you are kept in the loop

Cons

Could do with clearer distinctions for which countries should take part in which onboardings as in a global setting and some messages were unclear, but this has improved

Pros

Remote work and flexible hours, paid on time.

Cons

The communication between the managers and the tutors is mostly non-existent. During onboarding, GoStudent makes threats towards the tutors about poaching students, not showing up to lessons, etc. Very much stick, not carrot. They lock parents into long contracts and the only way for them to get out is to send GoStudent personal, financial information proving that they can no longer afford the service. ~60% commission fee which tutors have to pay to be on the platform which is incredibly high, considering that the tutoring platform does not work the majority of the time, and students often struggle to log in and use the tech. Investment in seemingly unrealistic VR classes and AI lesson plans, which are unused, rather than paying tutors fairly. Pay has been stagnant for years. Tutors barely get compensated for student no-shows. Tutors have to work trial lessons mostly for free. Strange tutor contracts.
