Pros

Less bureaucracy than other large miners (depending on asset type though from what I have heard). Good pay, good staff conditions e.g. sick leave. Good graduate experience - i view lack of structure in graduate employment as a good thing. Thrown in the deep end. I swam for 6 years. Good exposure to a lot of roles and responsibilities.

Cons

Pay can vary by asset. Worked for the same company in two different asset types. Large pay rise by changing assets for the same role. This was mainly due to too much power over salaries by uninformed HR at the first operation. Commercial and finance divisions are generally mildly retarded and interfere far too much with minor capital expenditure.
