Pros

Great team. Don't micro manage. Great benefits. Glencore was always very supportive and had a lot of room to grow. They are willing to put time into supporting their employees.

Cons

Things slowed down when the economy turned, but it's not the employers fault.

Pros

Great pay, flexible hours, friendly people, good work life balance, good office camaraderie.

Cons

Generally the locations are quite poor, but that is inherent to working in a coal mine and cant be avoided

Pros

Ok so this is a tough situation as I was let go (made redundant) when operations were scaled down. Good remuneration, clear definition of role and title. Good roster and peers were good, too.

Cons

Site had a culture inherited from other sites within the organisation with clunky procedures for technical staff, however managers were able to make sweeping changes with little regard for consequences when it suited them.
