Pros

This was a good place to work back in the day...no longer the case. Upper Mgmnt (Dept Mgrs as well as HR) does not demonstrate leadership, and comes across as demeaning 80% of time. They are nice 20% of time only when they want something from you.

Cons

Demeaning leadership, favortism, HR is not receptive and not approachable (corporate and plant). Lack of interdepartment communication.

Pros

Everything you see and hear about them including their values and how they treat employees is a facade and that's what they are good at; facades

Cons

This company has a very traditional approach. They retain long-time senior employees who have been with the organization for decades. As a result, opportunities for promotion and growth are limited because these seasoned staff members tend to stay in their roles without moving on. Additionally, many of these long-tenured employees have a fixed mindset and are not open to new ideas; they tend to prefer those beneath them to simply follow orders.

Pros

I wish I could say there were pros to working at Givaudan.

Cons

At Givaudan, workers are viewed as stuck in old ways, resistant to change. The company expects maximum effort but doesn't fairly compensate for the time and energy you put in. While some employees are praised for minor tasks that are simply part of their job, those who truly go above and beyond receive little to no recognition. Despite being a company that provides flavors and fragrances to major brands, employees aren’t even given access to the products they help create—you're expected to purchase them yourself. There's no real incentive to work here, the company does not care about employee's mental health and well being.
