Pros
1.i worked for more than 5 years and my review is based on Mumbai office and related to testing team. 2. Very less work pressure . 3. No 9 hours rules. 4. Product based company has limited product to do test on. 5. Earlier used to on site opportunities very easily however now after aquiring few companies they have reduced it alot. 6. Management is mostly from southern side of india ( i am not telling lie you can join and check ) as director has chipped in many of his non technical role people in testing and they come from field experience and forces you to treat you like field engineer.( So if you sit at your desk if you have such manager and say yes for everything you will be in his good books) 7.in my 5 years I got on site on 5th year and thanks to US testing director who found my hard work worth to give me such opportunities. 8. Very less office politics as number of people are less and so does opportunities are
Cons
1.lot of lazy people around who doesn't wish to upgrade or work hence the one who is hard-working always ends up doing too many things at a time. 2. most of the projects are maintenance only in Mumbai. 3.lot of hardware dependacy. 4. GVR India celebrates Evey festival and lot of cultural events plus management forces you to take lot of process related activities which will not add anything to your resume if you are at Junior or mid level. 3. if you land up on one of the development projects and work had then you will be part of lot of meetings however meetings Fail to fix actual issues of projects 4. Some manager would not respect you or specially to female in tech team but will pretend to be .my direct reporting manager was like that . 5. My direct reporting manager used to take lot of productive meetings and forces to be part of processes and inventory management. 6. No new technologies or very rare to find one. 7. New people joins if are experience like more than 5 years than can stay easily for many years.
