Pros
1) Ultra Lean mentality forces you to take advantage of cross functional opportunities that you might not get in much larger companies. 2) Decent pay and benefits 3) Danaher Business System training is strong...although Gibarco itself does not really practice it.
Cons
1) Leadership. Almost all decisions in the hands of a few people and some of these people should not be in the positions they are in. Results in heavy top down management with no or little ability to make independent decisions. 2) Re-investment from Corporate into the brand, building, etc is almost non-existent. The building is falling apart. Bathrooms overflow regularly, windows leak, etc. 3) Long Term Growth. Read up on EMV and what happens after. If you are in this for the long haul, look elsewhere. 4) Terrible Engagement. Results of the above. Nobody is happy..nobody smiles and everyone is looking for another job. HR attempts to drive positive change, but anybody who tries is usually pushed out (or voluntarily leaves) after 6 months.
