Basically a military research installation in terms of funding. The administration overall does not care about anybody.

High ranking, good students, some colleague professors do high-quality research and are nice to collaborate with.

Cons

The university administration is terribly arrogant, inefficient, and incapable. The university leadership has no vision or strategy. The leadership also promotes back-stabbing environment in the university. Treating professors with no respect. Low academic career growth. The high ranking is mostly due to the size, not the research quality. A big portion of the professors are so called academic dead wood and are not capable of securing extramural funding.
