Cons

Toxic workplace culture, with unsustainable workloads, rampant burnout, routine experiences of micro aggressions, senior leadership who publicly espouse values that they blatantly fail to enact behind closed doors. I have worked for many universities in my career and all have their challenges but have fortunately never been in a toxic work situation until Tech.

Great location, beautiful campus, nice office and department building, Okay benefits. Great department late leader.

Cons

Unfair with the tenure process, departmental and higher management give wrong advice and do you big injustice, despite their describing your performance as stellar. No mentoring or opportunities for professional development. No support at all.
