GT has many awesome professors who would love to give you advice for you future career.

Cons

too much work, but it's the same for any other RAs in any school.

Pros

The insurance benefits are very good, as well as the ability to pay into the Teacher's Retirement System even as staff. Casual atmosphere. If you like science journals, you have access to all paid subscriptions from the library. Large gym and Olympic pool on campus, but requires extra fee

Cons

Parking is terribly expensive ($600/year) and I have frequently had to deal with tons of red tape. We have recently had to have furlough days, and I have had no raises for a few years, but they have not laid off a single person that I know of.
