Pros

Easy hours coupled with a good adviser made this job very do-able. Ability to work from home also made this job very pro family.

Cons

Finding new funding can be a challenge for both the professor and the graduate student. If you plan to get a Ph.D. make that clear from the beginning.

Pros

The Transportation Systems Group in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is really a fantastic place for graduate studies and research. Top-class professors, excellent research facilities, and a friendly work environment! The professors are very supportive of each other, there are no factions and this makes it easy for a student to interact easily with other professors other than his/her advisor. They is also a lot of cutting edge research going on constantly. As a student this leads to valuable research experience and opportunities to interact with industry personnel.

Cons

I don't really see any negatives.

Pros

- very supportive in both the job and your future

Cons

- the amount of pay was only $300 per semester. This is quite low for the amount of time Peer Leaders put into their residence and hall.
