      Pros

      I am to old to change now but if I knew everything I do now and was starting over no way in hell would I work here or any GM plant

      Cons

      its not about building trucks , its about a numbers game and blame someone else , every steep up the ladder the lies get bigger so the bosses look good

      Pros

      Paid overtime when supervising hourly employees. Great tuition assistance for sponsored programs. Generous vacation and paid holidays. Work day is fast paced and there is a great deal to learn.

      Cons

      Dealing with union disputes and other political issues. Slow to adapt to change. Hourly employees have better health care benefits and continue to get raises while management often goes two years without raises. The two sided environment can create a great deal of animosity.

      Money upside, no personal life downside

      Pros

      The money-earning potential is pretty good especially if the economy turns around and GM produces more fuel efficient cars. If the Chevy Volt is a hit then Chevrolet Sales will be a good place to work. But if the Chevy Volt is junk, then it will be awhile for this job to be worth the time and aggravation that it takes to be successful.

      Cons

      Working weekends and holidays are the worst. Customers are also a hassle sometimes. They will come in with unreasonable demands and offers that they believe are fair. So many customers do not have clue. My patience was stretched to the limit many times.
